Why We Started The Muraykeeper Foundation
The Muraykeeper Foundation was created to give every child the chance to play soccer, regardless of their circumstances. Founded by Dennis Bosingwa and Salvador Muray, the foundation was inspired by the waste of usable soccer gear while children in underserved communities lacked even the most basic equipment. Dennis Bosingwa, based in Awasi, oversees the foundation’s operations and established Muraykeeper United Academy to provide structured training, talent development, and academic support for both boys and girls.
Through the foundation, Dennis realized that simply donating soccer equipment was not enough. Setting up a soccer academy allows children to develop their skills in a structured environment, identify talented players, and create pathways for high school scholarships and further opportunities. Over the years, the foundation has supported the opening of multiple academies, providing consistent coaching, training, and academic guidance to help young athletes succeed both on and off the field.
At The Muraykeeper Foundation, our goal is to empower children through soccer, foster life skills like discipline and teamwork, and create opportunities for academic and athletic growth—helping every child reach their full potential.
About Us – Meet Our Founders
The Muraykeeper Foundation exists to ensure that every child has the chance to play soccer, regardless of their circumstances. We serve underprivileged communities while also running Muraykeeper United Academy, where young athletes receive structured training, mentorship, and academic support to develop both their athletic talent and personal growth.
Our mission is to empower children through soccer, helping them build essential life skills such as teamwork, resilience, discipline, and confidence—on the field and in life. Guided by the vision and dedication of our founders, Dennis Bosingwa and Salvador Muray, we are creating a movement that nurtures talent, transforms lives, and inspires generosity in communities across Kenya.
By supporting The Muraykeeper Foundation, you help provide children with the opportunity to dream, play, and grow, whether through access to quality training, structured programs, or pathways to scholarships and future opportunities.
